Does anyone have any experience of driving on Eco mode please? If so what are the advantages and disadvantages. Many thanks.

E park error - car isnt moving

Is it a problem with the charging gun securing pin? Try opening the bonnet and pulling on the yellow pin emergency release cable.

    Range!!! (Again) and other Issues?

Thanks James. I can only charge to 179 miles regardless of the temperature. I understand why, depending on driving style and road conditions, I am most unlikely to achieve a range of 179 miles but I was curious to know if I could improve on that mileage when charging - get more into the tank...

    Range!!! (Again) and other Issues?

Our August 2023 Funky Cat will only charge to 179 miles at a 100% charge or 144 miles on the usual 80% charge. This is somewhat short of the advertised 193 miles. Does anyone know please how to persuade the car to increase the charged range.

    Scheduled Charging issues

Hello. As I mentioned, I do not use the ORA app. I simply follow the process I described and I have no problems. Check that your charger is functioning as it should. I have an Ohme charger which has an app. I discovered some time ago that the charger was off line (the cure is, as always, turn...

    Charging at Eurotunnel

Thanks for that info. I believe you have to have the Tesla app and an account to use the chargers. I wasn’t sure if it was possible, because of the way the charging software is set up, to charge an ORA on a Tesla charger.

    Charging at Eurotunnel

Should anyone intend to use Le Shuttle there a couple of points of interest: 1) the non-Tesla chargers on the UK side are out of use. They have been blocked off by a temporary road scheme. 2) There are new DC chargers in the French terminal provided by Energie. The instructions on the chargers...

    Software update UK

Hello John. Ours shows V1.0 even though the car has had two updates; one to deal with the Gridserve spark problem and the other to deal with the overheating 13amp charge cable. I am not sure but I believe that updates will be notified on the car's messaging system.

GWM Ora responds to insurability woes with new battery scheme

I was under the impression (based on comments on this forum and elsewhere) that the principle problem was that of lack of spares. This lack meant that a car could not be repaired after an accident and so had to be written off. We can only hope that GWM decides to ship adequate spares to...

    Insurance 03

Yes, I know that. The object of my exercise was to get an idea of the premium that I would have to pay next August. I posted the result of my search just by way of nothing in particular. Please ignore my post.

    Insurance 03

After my post last evening I did a "Compare the Market" exercise to see what sort of a shock I might be in for next August. The results are attached and my £800 estimate was not wide of the mark. Let's hope it stays that way!

    Insurance 03

Are these quotes based on the “unknown car” principle (despite the Thatcham d/b entries by ORA UK) or is there a monumental rip off exercise going on? The Guardian reported recently that car insurance premiums had increased by about 33% in the UK but only 2% in France. We insured our Funky Cat...

When will we get Apple CarPlay on the ORA CAT?

ORA UK is organising the distribution of the two apps. I have asked ORA UK about this on a couple of occasions and the replies I received are posted above.

    Irish map

Hello Garacio. So far as I can see Ireland is installed in my GPS/Sat Nav. I have just installed maps for France and Belgium and, remembering your original post, I entered Dublin in the search panel, the city appeared and I was invited to save the destination. Dublin is apparently 411kms (253...

When will we get Apple CarPlay on the ORA CAT?

Apple Car Play and Android Auto for the UK are in final beta testing. It won't be long; a little more patience is required!

Jacking points and wheel nut torque

I noticed that the traction battery voltage is 337v. That's just over half the voltage of a London Underground train!

    Mats

Thanks Vic. The odd thing is that the mats supplied with our car and those you have ordered came/come with reinforced holes intended to fit over studs fitted to the floor. We have no studs!

I went to SpecSavers and can now see the jacking points!

Jacking points and wheel nut torque

That is very interesting Damian. Where did it come from? I could not see the jacking points on the diagrams; should I have gone to SpecSavers?
